      Towncars never got a 2.73 as far as I'm aware. 3.08 was standard, 3.27 for the Cartier and some Signatures. 3.55 for tow package cars. Same driveline, more weight in a TC. Also, even new, some were fast, some sucked, and by now after 20 years the range of 'rocks' to 'sucks' as far as performance is pretty wide.

        Yeah, just like Mustangs Some are mid 15 second turds and some are magic 13 second screamers

          oru 88 TC was a signature...but it prolly had 2.73s.
          I had 2.73s stock and now I upgraded to 3.55s.

            I've never seen a TC door sticker in the yard or anywhere else that had less than 3.08's
