Brake Pad Thickness

Quick question:

I checked my front brake pads yesterday (Bendix) they've been on for 30K and 2 years.

They each have 3/8" of pad left.

My question is: how thick are new ones?

That is rediculus! You shouldn't have anything to fear. New pads vary in chickness but that's got way more than half of their life left. I think mine were 1/2" new. I go through pads about once every 2 years. My last set went to the rivets in 30 months.
