    Different Fan?

would I benefit at all by switching my stock fan to a fan like this?

or would I just be wasting 20 bucks?
I'm sure an electric fan like this would be best, they say it can give you up to 15hp, but I'm not su sure if that's true:

but would just the fan make any diffrerence in cooling?

The upper one will rob HP, the one on the bottom will free up 15.

The electric one is great for cooler weather, it'll allow the car to warm up quicker. The opposite for the top mech fan.

Go for the electric, dont waste your money on the flex fans, run the stock one till you can afford to put on an electric one. Flex fans also like to come apart at high rpms too.

I've run the stock clutch fan, then a flex fan for a while, then the stock non-flex blades on a solid hub (no clutch), and now the stock non-flex blades on a massive Bronco clutch, haven't noticed any effects on fuel economy, good or bad. Power output should have suffered with the non-clutch setups, but I have no way of verifying that. Overall I'd say that if yer stock fan works well just keep it till ya can afford a good electric setup, then swap that in and be done with it.

            ah...ok
so that fan wouldn't do any good...that's what I thought...how hard is it to go to an electric fan?
and, more importantly, how much $ would it cost...?

It cost whatever ya can find a Mark VIII fan setup for, those seem to be the best choice.

I got my fan for $20 from the junkyard. I paid $35 for a fan controller. add a few bucks for wire and connectors, then you will need a way to mount it. I used two strips of thin aluminum and bent them to a 90deg angle, used sheet metal screws to attach the brackets to the car and two 1/4-20 bolts to attach the fan to the brackets. Id say you can do it for under $75 depending on the cost of the fan and what hardware/material you have laying around.

The Mark VIII fans apparently just about pop right in with no brackets needed. Overkill has one on his TC. Eventually I plan on doing it to mine as well.

If you have a temp sensor for a guage installed, would you still be able to have an electric fan that turns on at specific temps. Or do you have to have one or the other due to the fact that there is just the one hole for the sensor?
