I ditched my efi. Got the carb on and it runs. Need to drop the tank still and remove that pump on saturday. Picked up an ho cam and heads for 50 bux. Put the cam in, the heads need a valve job. I pulled the motor and changed every gasket, seal and plug in it. So no more leaks. For nearly 250k, I was amazed upon opening it. You can still see the factory hone marks, and there is no groove from the rings wearing. The lifters still fit tight in the holes, and there almost no sludge. Im happy. Put on a new water pump as well. Discovered why my old gasket blew, the back intake water passage was packed solid all the way across. Oh well. Its carbed now. Im happy. Pics soon of my setup.

Yep, carbs on an EFI car can make life a lot simpler. I went ahead and got a tank for a carbureted car, then hacked my fuel-level sender and made it into a 3/8" pickup. I have extra inlet screens in both 3/8 and 5/16 if you need one, as well as an extra brand-new filler neck grommet.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

Making a pickup is friggin easy. Take out the electric pump and put a length of 5/16" fuel line in and clamp it down...That's all I did on my carb swpa on the V8 conversion on my stang.Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

Yeah.
One note though, you might want to do a bit more than that. I noticed the wagon's pickup crimps down where the hose connects. I would cut that off and then put the hose there. You could replace the whole section of tubing on the pickup with something larger if you wanted to get really fancy. Though with your motor, you really need to go with larger fuel lne from the tank. The limit on stock lines (with a carb) is 300hpBuilder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

I used 3/8 tubing for the pickup. I also redid all of my lines with 3/8 cause the old shit was rusting apart. I also put a screen on it too.
