It's either a 351W or it has been modified. Or the plug wires are on wrong

Might shed some light on to why his intake was leaking. I doubt it tho.

Maybe you got lucky and someone dropped an HO shortblock in your car.

did it have a roller cam when you pulled the intake off?

Probably someone swapped the cam at some point. No other reason I know of to have the 351 firing order on a 302. Its a good thing though, less bearing wear with that cam. And that is not a roller cam. If it was, you'd have a stamped sheet metal spider thing in the lifter galley holding down the lifter retainers. Flat tappet engines do not have that.

Dave, you got a flat-tappet setup, and you probably just have a different cam in it.

You can tell by the pic....It's not a roller.

And even with the plug wires on wrong, it'd run. Not well though.
