D00E heads run on leaded fuel in the past have seats seasoned by the lead. I put over 160K on the heads on the quad motor when they were on my 84 Mustang 5.0. If you can run some leaded fuel through an engine without hardened seats about 2 tanks worth you shouldnt have any problems. Dont recomend it with FI cars that have cats and oxy sensors.

Its not a big deal, I saw them for nice low price and didn't know much about that casting. I really want to find a GT40 engine somewhere down the road anyway. My plan is to tackle the brakes & suspension first and then catch up with the engine work later.

Ahh so that's how my family seems to be running all these never apart '60's engines without leaded fuel, the seats were seasoned by the lead in the old days.
