Im determined to make this work relatively reasonable on the wallet. and if I have to do a lil hood altering, no problem. I can make it fit, thats not my worry. My concern more was with the EFI and its related computer equipment. Looks like Ive got alot of research ahead of me, but Im determined to get me an EFI 351W GM.

There have been numerous threads about an EFI 351 in a panther on this site. The solution I like best is the F-150 Lighting motor, which comes with a GT-40 intake and GT-40 heads, and using a small hoodscoop to clear the intake.

Future plans:Semi HO conversion, or Explorer motor swap, shift kit, PI springs and sway bars, KYB-GR2 shocks

And the intake is facing the correct way and has the very sought after EGR spacer...

Someone on CVN had a Lightning motor in a CV, under the stock hood. Of course there aren't any pics that I remember, so...

I had an EFI 351 thread going awhile back, but I can't seem to find it in the search. Maybe someone more clever than me can find it and give him the link. There's some good info in there.

i believe the hood would have closed for him on that towncar......i dont think he ever tried.......now mind you the towncar hood is higher
superlincoln has the explorer 302, but i used a 1" upper plenum spacer to achieve clearance for the tall aluminium valve covers......i didnt think the hood would close but it did.......from the pics, it looks about the same height with the 351 with the efi intake and no spacer.........can someone find measurements of a efi 302 vs efi 351w total height?
