So there is no sound difference between stock and stock Mustang shorties?

Nope. I guess it's possible that there is a insanely small difference if you have no exhaust after them, but They really don't change anything.

I did not notice any change in exhaust sound from stock manifolds to stock mustang shorties to equal length MAC shorties.

Anyway, you don't put performance parts on for the sound...You put them on for performance- with the exception of mufflers.

The way it sounds is all opinion. Apparently ricers think that fan cans sound good, why is beyond me. People say after a while glasspacks start to sound worse because the glass melts. Just see for yourself.

if you don't mind that the car would blat after you cet the car hot and go through a puddle and shatter the glass in the glass packs and want to replace them alot .............I really don't like them they don't do much for performance....the way I shop for a straight through muffler is I look to see if they are made from woven stainless steel packing and have a perforated core instead of that cheese grater shtuff. I am hearing good stuff about the bullets though.

All they really do is get louder. I've had mine on for almost a year now and they're getting just a little bit noisier all the time, I think. Though that could be my perception, too.

My glasspacks haven't changed their sound I think, or since I drive the car every day I can't notice the difference. Have been using them for almost an year already, been through some floody puddles too

I've gone from manifolds, to stock shorties, to flowtechs, to shorties again, and I noticed that between shorties and flowtechs, the flowtechs are slightly louder. But I also have an HO conversion sooo......

First thing you do with glasspacks is get em hot and hit em with a water hose to make em sound better. Duh. I like the sound of hollowed out glasspacks.

No its not. Glasspack acts like a reverberation chamber allowing the pulses to collide with each other and allow for the popping noise you hear.
