    If thats what you have, just plug the connector in like normal. There won't be anything in the tank, so its not much of a big deal if there is power to that terminal or not. The EFI pump power connectors are not shielded from the fuel or anything so it won't be any different from a safety perspective. Just unplug the short wires that go from the hanger to the fuel pump and its good. Or if the cutouts on the side of the tank are the same, just use the sender assembly from the 81 in the other tank.

      well, i jerry riged this one up good, lol, actually what i did was pretty factory looking(i wish i had a carera to show what im talking about)i pulled the pump and float out and tossed the pump and added a hose wits screen on for the pickup. so now its all rigged, went to the wreckers got a 4pin connector and snipped the pump wires and put the "bullet" connectors on now im set to put the tank in, now my biggest prob is the strap bolts...

        well today was install day, the tank bolted into place, hooked up my pickup and put the new gauge connector on put a newer filler tube with the screw on cap and runs fine and fuel gauge works and tank went in nice! so its a simple swap!
