    Long Tube Headers

I found these long tubes on summit for a '75 F-100 truck, do you guys think they will fit?
Even if I had to modify them a little bit, I wouldn't mind...
how closely do you guys think they will fit?

I have been researching the Hooker Super Comp headers for the Mustang. The clame they will fit a AOD if it has a floor shift.

yeah, but will it still bump into our steering columns.??? They are in a different location than a mustangs. Remember that #8's pipe goes around the outside of the Mustangs steering column.

351s are a much wider engine. They wernt Hookers either. I have tried several brands that dont fit for various reasons. BBK long tubes came clost but wouldnt fit the AOD.

It's been attempted on a 302 also... But hey, moneybags here can obviously afford it....Would be nice to see someone make 'em work.

When i get my 408 in the car and running with these shorties, im going to drive it over to my buddy prolsc. He's gonna weld me up a set of big tube full length headers out of a box of bends, and ill send em off to get copied in mandrel bend pipe and coated. They'll be for a 351w car, so itll give everyone incentive to upgrade

well, I'm not saying that I can/will spend another $1K, I'm kicking the idea of longer headers than the stock 'stang ones.
and if I was made of money, wouldn't I not waste my time/money asking about this, I would just have custom ones made...
but if I can buy a kit for 100 bucks and spend maybe a little more to make them fit, I say it's worth it.
BTW, mrltd...I sense a tone from you that seems insulting...I may be reading into your posts too much, so if you're NOT trying to be mean, I'm sorry.

Murphman used these on his and didn't have any problem with them.

hmm...those are nice, but they're not very long and I don't think I would spend the cas for a small gain over the mustang shorties I have now...I appreciate the post, though!

Not tuned length either. Hookers were the only ones I have found that are tuned length
