    pics from intake gasket change

Well today mike came over and helped me change my intake gaskets. mang was the nasty 17 years worth of shit collected near the intake. Thank god mike cleaned it and degreesed it. The hardest part was scraping the old gasket off. It's hard because its on there hard. you should have seen how bad the gasket around the coolent passeges was it was really bad I took a couple pics of that

everything went allright we were going to do the valve covers but mike had to go plus they are not that bad for know so I'll save that for another day it's not so bad taking the upper off now that I know how to do it. The more I think about it it's really not that hard doing intake gaskets what's time consming is cleaning the lower intake and getting the old gaskets off. thanks to all you guys for your input and special thanks to mike for taking time out of his weekend to help me thanks mang.

How long did it take you to pull the lower off. I'm thinkin about goin to the scrap yard to pull one off the MK VII I've been takin parts off of, so I can clean it up over the winter and put it on next year. Just want a rough idea of how long i'm gonna have to freeze my ass off outside.

Not long if you don't have to worry about putting the car back together. Half an hour 45 minutes or so. I scrapped a bunch of super clean lowers not too long ago. Lincolnmania might still have them.
