    The official Ford way does bring the plenum out through the bottom. You unbolt the lower bolts and use something to push the bottom of the dashboard out. The out through the top method leaves the plenum in the car. Either way it kinda sucks.

      mine seems to work at like 70-80% and doesnt leak but i feel like it should be done

            I did the heater core in an 84 once, took me 2 hours. Didn't have to take the dash right out but loosen it and pull it aside and loosen off the heater box as well.
