    Vacume leak

Humm, well im thinking i still might have a vacume leak. Which might be causing a few of the problems im having. And im guessing it's that dern smog pump...

Can anybody else think of any other sneaky place's to look for bad leaks?

    Thanks in advance :_D

ya probly at the smog pump, and there is a vacume tree on the fire wall you should check to, also if you have an automatic e-break relese you should check that, mine was making a hissing sound under the dash and it was a vacume leak at my automatic e break relese, it is loacated on the steering coloum near the fire wall...

Smog pump won't make a vacuum leak...it pumps air into the exhaust. I'd check all the little plastic lines and all the old ass rubber lines for cracks.

There is a vacuum hose that feeds down to the smog pump off the line to the cruise control. If thats cut, it will leak pretty bad. I usually just eliminate that whole thing and forget about it. All the vacuum plumbing for my smog pump is gone, and the fat line from the cruise down to the pump was removed long ago

my smog pump doesnt have any vac line going to it, i think thats a fancy EFI thing.
Start at the nipple coming off the back of your intake manifold (it should have one big hose coming off the end, and two little hoses coming out of the sides) trace each of these hoses as far as they go, and every hose that goes out from anything the first hosed go to so on and so on
This nipple is behind the CFI unit, almost under the EGR valve so you gotta really get in there to see it. could be one of the smaller hoses just came off.
The big hose coming off the end goes to the vacuum tree. one of the smaller hoses on the side goes to the MAP sensor and only the MAP sensor. The other one goes into the big mess of plastic lines, to the vacuum solenoids on the valve cover, all that sill nonsens thats on the fan shroud diagram. Check out my fancy paintshop drawing of it its a little easier to read.
