Since I have not yet come across another like mine on the internet, heres how I made my cold air intake for my 91 Crown Vic. I bought a used Injen cold air intake from a 1990 Integra. On the end of the intake that bolts to the inner fender of the Acura, theres a tab that the bolt goes through to hold the intake steady. I cut off about 6" on that end of the pipe, de-burred the edges, and used a three inch plumbing reducer to attach it to my throttle body. I had to cut my coolant overflow/washer fluid bottle in half, and re-locate the coolant overflow inside the front clip. I also cut a hole in the left front plastic inner fender to get cooler air. Think of it as ghetto if you like, but it works, and kinda looks cool too

You should swap to a 1990 Towncar fan shroud, it has the coolant overflow bottle attached to the fan shroud. Looks good tho, like its made to fit there.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Doing an electric fan conversion in the future, so the fanshroud will be gone hopefully. But if it dosent happen I will keep that in mind. I was quite suprised by how well it fit when all was said and done, but still needs improvements, like the airfilter isolated from the engine compartment in its own box, to keep the heat out. And 88Vic, I didnt have any sensors attached anywhere on the stock intake system on mine when I pulled it out. Dont think yours would be much different. I originally considerd pvc wrapped in foil to deflect heat, but the aluminum pipe looks so much cooler in my opinion.sigpicVic Videos Here http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...676#post243676

You can buy the aluminum tubing that they make the intakes out of, or damaged intakes (dinged up, returns) at some speed shops (around me anyways) for fairly cheap. I'm sure you could fab up somethin Blaze, or find an intake pipe with the bends you need to replace your mustang airbox. And no I didnt know 88vic.sigpicVic Videos Here http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...676#post243676

wow, this is one of the first threads I ever made on here. This intakes still on the 91, but I may be getting a new one made in a similar style, except its going to be like what mrltd mentioned above. I got the tc shroud and newer washer bottle conversion in the 88, and i'm gonna have a similar setup to this for driving around town and stuff, then have one pipe that bends down through the plastic inner fender and will put the air filter right into the air stream for track use, since I dont really need that filter down there all the time suckin up water and other shit. If you could find a used one from an 89 integra monterey your laughin, but new there stupid expensive.sigpicVic Videos Here http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...676#post243676
