    For u HO Guys

    Sup fella's well i finnaly got my mustang down to the track and did terrible.
    Best of the night im able to pull is a 14.4 @ 96 with a 2.0 60foot

    all i got is exhaust and header's underdrive's and some gear's
    I found a nice deal on a porter upper and lower explorer intake. so imma throw that on with a 70mm TB and 73mm MAF

    Is this going to be a worthwhile upgrade at the stage im at now? i wanna break 13's alreaghty

    70mm TB? LOL...

    The 2.0 60 is pretty good...depending on what tires/suspension you are running. I'd think the intake would be a decent upgrade, but a 70mm is an overkill. Your MPH is pretty good too...

      yea that's a pretty good time mang!
      lx coupes were the ones that ran high 13's stock........that's faster than the new gt's were and as fast as a tuned port 350 fireturd

      1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

        That is a 13 sec. car with tires. Exhaust and gears should have you in the 13's easily right now. 2.0 60' with a stick is not good. Drag radials or a M/T Street (DOT Legal) or full slick strip tire will drop a few 10ths off of your time.

          Not to be a dick, but how much do you weigh?
          How many times have you ran at a track?
          2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.
          1992 Explorer Eddie Bauer, slight lift, 34s, and A/C...
          1979 Bronco Custom, 351M/C6/NP205, 4" lift, 35s, lots of fender trimming.

            I ran at the track plenty of times but this was the first night out in the stang
            Its a 88GT.
            With me in the car and 1/4 tank it weight 343x.
            But the car also got power seat. sunroof. power everything.

            Its running stock suspension with a eibach lowering springs and no front sway bar.

            With the gears that are in there i pass the traps at like 4800ish in 4th gear

              All I can tell ya is the Eibach springs aren't helping the weight transfer. 14.4's sound about right for a loaded GT with the mods you have. I wanna say GT's ran a 14.7 stock?

                Even the pitiful 96 4.6 GTs ran low 14's with gears and exhaust on decent tires. A Fox body GT is a solid 13 second car with those mods and tires. 17" low profile tires are not made for a good launch.

                  True but i did hook up very very well. very small tire spin in all these launch's
                  I hope this new intake setup will get me to 14.0 or so

                    Probably a 65mm throttle body on a stock motor is all you need. Too much throttle body and it lowers the velocity of air in the manifold, which ends up killing off some low end torque.

                      If you hooked and had a 2.0 60', you were coming out of the hole too easy.
