    New (rebuilt) Tranny question

    Is there a break in period for a new/rebuilt tranny?

        I think i might been having some of the same problems...What carb did you go with? My car is at teh shop now i had a jasper reman tranny looks like im gettin a new one jasper probaly will just send another out im not sure yet thou....Once i get this tranny and its working and shifting correctly i will put that shift kit in and probaly a hi-rev gov...

            The guy that did my tranny said 100 miles before I towed anything, just drive it normal till then, and after that I could do pretty much whatever I wanted. I towed a car with it at around 120 miles and it did fine.

              My guy didn't mention any break in. He told me that I didn't have to take it easy...

                Same guy did mine, he didn't say anything about it for the AOD either. I think the warning was more for the truck so I didn't go right home and hook up to some massivley overloaded trailer and try dragging it down the road before giving the tranny a few miles to make sure it was working OK. I did ask him before dragging that Towncar and he said go ahead since it was shifting normally.
