The guy that did my tranny said 100 miles before I towed anything, just drive it normal till then, and after that I could do pretty much whatever I wanted. I towed a car with it at around 120 miles and it did fine.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Same guy did mine, he didn't say anything about it for the AOD either. I think the warning was more for the truck so I didn't go right home and hook up to some massivley overloaded trailer and try dragging it down the road before giving the tranny a few miles to make sure it was working OK. I did ask him before dragging that Towncar and he said go ahead since it was shifting normally.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
