More Engine bay pic's 56k No!

Hey guy's this morning i decided to take some more pic's if nothing else but becase sometimes i can see thing's i overlook otherwise.

The first ones i got of is a hose coming off of the egr though, i cant figure out where it goes.... Any idea mang's?

Now the rest of theese are just around the engine bay, one or two though is what im guessing is the charcoal canister ) Here they are :-D

Now this one is of my rpm gauge, i was going to get two pic's of it but the reasson why is becase my rpm's keep flutering 200 one sec and 6 - 800 another, and when i finnaly got the cam out it stayed at 600

    Here's the pic though

rest are all bright as hell. I made this pic's at dawn ) best time for lighting

Well, thanks for looking guy's Maybey we will see something we havent allready seen. :-D

    Thanks agine,

Thats a coolant hose. Ignore it. There was actually a recall from Ford about those things causing the EGR system to get chunks of carbon. The fix from Ford was to simply disconnect those lines from the egr cooler and connect them together. Its supposed to have one line from the intake and one to a tee in the heater hose, but its probable the tee is missing. Just pull both of the lines and seal them off. Probably the one on the other side of that cooler goes to the engine block. I'd cut it short near the block, and stuff that bolt with a clamp on it.

Sweet, so both side's really need to be pluged. : Nods : Question, where did the hose go that is pluged now by a bolt.? that might be my fuel leak/whatever ?

Its coolant. Old nasty coolant. Considering its plumbed into a water line its normal. Probably the T in the heater hose is gone. Just pull the nipple out of the intake and replace it with a pipe plug, or cap the line off right at the nipple in the intake. Dont be too surprised if that nipple doesn't want to let go from the intake manifold.

that hose with the bolt is just coolant... for the EGR spacer like Thaine said.
The only part you need to worry about blocking off is the end comeing out of the intake manifold.
You dont have to cap off the EGR cooler itself, I just did that for the sake of doing it.

Do all the boxes have that much wiring from the factory? I am looking at a super-clean box GM with 95,000 miles on it and it has a "small vaccuum leak". My Aero isn't even that scary looking with wires, and I have plug wires! Just looking at that made me cringe.

Get an '82 or eariler and you'll have less wires, and you can get rid of about 1/2 of them and still have a fine (if not better) running car.

CFI cars have less wiring but way more vacuum bullshit than the SEFI cars. Mostly the firewall stuff is the same between SEFI and CFI but the engine wiring harness is changed. Most of whats on a SEFI car is hidden by that intake, and the mess of vacuum plumbing crap from the solenoids on the valve cover is gone.
