Right now im running my stock AOD driveshaft with my big bell C4. i have an aluminum driveshaft i want to put in. Is the C4 shorter than the AOD? The aluminum shaft is about 1" shorter than the steel and I want to have the shaft legnthened, i just need to know how much. The stock shaft looks too short with the C4 already.

The Mustang C4 and AOD trannys were the same length. -

You'd have to push the yoke in and see how far it goes...

I read somewhere that the driveshafts are different, and you need to run parts off the other to make it work...1983 Grand Marquis 2Dr Sedan "Mercules"

I have an aluminum FRPP Mustang driveshaft. The driveshaft and yoke work with T-5, AOD, C-4, SROD... The yokes are 100% dimensionally identical between it and my CV AOD aluminum factory driveshaft.Originally posted by Grand_Marquis_GTComment
