Please let us know if things are working or not. This is still somewhat a work in progress so don't be too surprised if things magically appear from one visit to the next.
I've been in stock single exhaust cars, both EFI and CFI through the hills on 209 in PA, and they maintained ~50, even if it did require some work. Make it a car load of 4 people with a stock CFI box, and you'll see a car struggle a bit. it made it up the hill OK tho, and that was before the tuneup, etc.

my 84 grand marquis can go up hills no problem, it dosent even slow down on smaller hills, it's carburated to, im not sure if it has the same horse power as the fule injected ones, but i also have low kms.
Dave84, if you get a chance, check your door tag (below the door striker) to see what rear gears you have. I'm wondering if you have a 3:27 rear like my coupe, could have been some type of dealer package.
For gadget73's comment, I was one of the four people in that CFI box awhile back to experience "CFI's performance". Actually, it didn't do too bad considering the car was carrying four adults, the AC was on, the last time it was tune-up was 1990, suspension needed work, etc.

Your car must have issues, my 2.73 and 3.08 geared cars never had any issues with hills. I also make sure to downshift. TV cable/rod must need adjustment.
It should have a sticker on the door. There is like a bracket/chart that has an AX (it stands for axle) then either a number or a letter below it. A number indicates an open diff, and whichever ratio it is IIRC 8=2.73 open rear diff. A letter means you have a locker, ie K=3.55 locker. The codes are stickied somewhere on here.

mine dosent say my rear gear, is there another way i can find out?
There should be a tag on the diff cover. Or you can raise the rear end, mark the driveshaft and turn the rear wheel 1 full turn and count the driveshaft rotations.
ok my code # say's 2 so that would mean 3:55 open.
lucky bastard

Open allows one wheel to spin freely i.e. one wheel peels. A locker locks the rear differential when going in a straight line, equally distributing power to both wheels.
