    Fuel?^_^

Hey guys, i was noticng today how my fuel hand just goes down so quick.

I say this becase i put 10$ in here yesterday and 10$ today gas is at 2.99 a gallon, But my complante isnt about gas prices it's about it was at a half a tank this mornin, and this evening it's almost e,

I have replaced just about evreything there is for a tune up ( That i know of ) Except for the o2 sensor, Will it case my lack of decent gas millage? Or do i need to look elses where?
Also the engine is not at a high rev, and my toatole distance ive traveld with today and yesterday might be a mille., maybey 2.

Also, it didnt want to start a couple of times today, sounded like it was getting stuck or something. I took the breather elament off and it cranked up?

And, i also left a little roll of electrical tape under the hood i belive this morning, could it have gotten stuck somewhere that will do this?

    Any how thanks in advance.

Yes you O2 sensors have a big impact on your gas milage.

I thought I was the only one who did stuff like that. For what it's worth Iget my gas religously from the same 76 station (close, cheap) and the king of carburetors told me Techron sucks, too many addititves. My mechanic says the cheapest best way to get better mileage= lighter foot on the pedal and hes right if you think about it you can keep yourself from using the gas pedal when you dont need to.

YES replace the O2 sensor!!! if it looks old, it is old. Ours are cheap, you can use the money you save to get the special socket to make the job a breeze.

Also, our fuel gauges dont seem to respond the same over the whole sweep... fill her up all the way - note the mileage, and drive at least half the tank out, then fill up again.
Do the math with the gallons you just added with the miles you drove for a ballpark mpg figure.

Based on what I saw when my car was up on the lift, not fun. I would think that as long as you didn't over tighten them ...

If you get the socket it is easy, but there are other ways. I cut the wire on my old one and used a deep well 7/8 socket and a 3 foot pipe on my ratchet to bust it. Then to put in the new one take a 7/8 wrench and use that instead if you dont have the socket. If you get the socket I suggest you dont use it to try to take off the old one, It might bend your brand new O2socket.

At least on my car the O2s look really hard to get at. Was planning on borrowing socket from autozone.

CFI cars only have one, its easy with the socket if that AC stuff isnt in the way

Humm, yea i only got one :-D Umm So when i get the socket, i sholdent use it to take the old one off with???, Also i have noticed that some where down the line Some one had cut the wire comeing from the wireing harness, and put it together like one would do with speaker wire. i put sum tape around it. But could this Be verry bad for it even with a new Sensor?,

As well as where you unplug the o2 sensor that plastic thing was riding on the manifold for a whille. and it looks burnt and broke :-( So im woundering what i should do about that.
