How to make my car more floaty?

My car used to be very floaty and I kind of miss it. I don't know if it's because I got rid of those stock Michelin symmetrys for Toyo tires a/s or I need new shocks.

What is a good way to make a car drive more comfortable? (I know this affects handling).

Go back to the standard shocks like the basic Motorcraft that came with the car. Tires have a part of the mushy feel. Unless you need new tires or have money to burn, I would keep whatever you have.

When you say floaty, what sort of feel do you get that detracts from it? Any bumps, clunks, squeeks, etc?

Is the OEM motorcraft shocks softer than the monroe shocks?

I think the Monroe are softer.
