    What Is It?

Here are two photos of a module found in a friend's 1995 GM trunk I can not identify. Thoughts?

Can't find any references to seatbelts for it but I still have no idea of it's function. It is located at the rear of the trunk on the passenger side just in front and to the right of what appears to be a stereo amp. It is not familiar to me at all but your guess is as good as any!

That's the seatbelt retractor. Note the massive bolt coming down from the top. That's holding that thing down to the rear parcel shelf. The retractor is slotted in from the top.

So I guess Sly and Dave have it right! Never seen anything like that before so I thank you both for the input! Was wondering if this car has a Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM/FPDM) like some of the newer cars have but I think not. If it does, I have not located it but again, don't think so. Perhaps, someone can verify that.
