2005 GM seat heater questions

driver seat does not heat prob just a pad .

big question though is
the seat warmers switches in the doors flash their back-lighting at odd times off on off on usually when cold outside but not when warm . Is this designed this way or is it s warning sign of an impending problem

heat on lights work steady when activated on both high and low heat

Most likely led connection failure in the switch itself. The lighting is known to fail due to poor solder jobs.

+1 the LEDs develop bad solder joints. You can take them apart and fix them. The window and door lock switches do the same thing. On my 04 the only switches that light up are the Drivers side window controls, they were replaced a few years back.
