I already have a tune and I modded the tune to make it as hard as possible. I can scratch the 1-2 shift on dry pavement on a good day. I don't see why to J-mod it cause it get the same effects with the tune.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the J-mod also include increasing flow through some part of the tranny, thus allowing better lubrication? Now get that with a software upgrade, I dare ya Seriosly, reprogramming the PCM is good, but there are some things only a hardware modification can achieve.

            Exactly.

I owned a J-modded rebuilt 4R70W and it rocked. The best shifting automatic ive ever had!

I guess I never thought about the extra lube that will be flowing. Ya if I do it I would make the shifts soft on the computer cause I heard you break shit with the j-mod and really hard tuned shifts.

                    Search http://car-part.com/

They did ask police vs non police as you get the proper tailshaft. You could get a P-73/74 trans and swap your tailshaft to it. Also 4 different ID code possibiites dunno about that

This is the non police search

I was looking at that car-part.com more and it has the ID # for the police trannys. How do I go to find out which ID# I have or does it matter? Cause if it doesn't there is one here in town with 20k on it out of a 1999 interceptor I can get for $500.

What the hell I.D. number are you talking about? The only difference beside the tailhousing and the pinouts between any panther 4R70W is the plant it was manufactured at.

Meh, I tried to do the search again, but it did not pop up for the police vs no police again, nor did the ID# thing pop up again. I never heard about that either ???

Methinks a database gremlin on the car-part.com site the other day??
