Staying in 1st gear.
Hey guys, if you read my post in noob section, I have a 95 Grand Marquis that is having tranny issues. Not sure if it is the AODE or the 4R70W but here is what it is doing. Last night took it for a drive then I started hearing this buzzing sound but the car still ran fine and shifted normal so i didn't think much of it. Then today I go to take it for a drive, the buzzing sound is still there but now the only gears I have are reverse and 1st. Took it for a rip up the road and could only go 50km/h (30mph) and wouldn't shift out of first gear. I think that is a bad solenoid. Anyone else have any ideas?
