I've got new coils coming for my '97, and I want to cut them to get about a 1.5" to 2" drop. I was wondering if anyone here has done it before, and if so, how much did you cut to achieve your drop?

I cut 2 coils from the Moog coils on the Mod Box and a coil from the 96' when I had it. You can only do the fronts though. Rears are coned.

Awesome, thanks. I have air ride in the rear, I plan on just adjusting the ride height sensor. You said you cut one coil for the 96? Were they the Moog 9114 coils?

I was planning to start with cutting 5/8 of a coil off and going from there.

Finished, awesome results!
So I ended up cutting about 1.5 coils off, reset the air suspension, and put in new control arms, tie rods, and sway bar links. Not bad for 4 hours worth of work.Attached Files
