I don't really spin my tires. I don't waste my money on snow tires either. All season tires work fine for me. All these cars really need are weight in the back and a limited slip differential.
I've got Bridgestone WS70 Blizzak snow meats on my TC right now. Got them dirt cheap from tirerack.com... Had I known they were made in Japan I wouldn't have bought them but nonetheless they're on there. Apparently Continental or Michelin make the best snow meats though. I have no first hand experience with snow tires but the people I've talked to that have say they make a huge difference over the typical all seasons.
1985 LTD Crown Victoria - SOLD
1988 Town Car Signature - Current Party Barge
I have not found a better tire than the Bridgestone Blizzak. I hate what I now have (firestone and Yokohama) and want Blizzaks. I got 72,000 miles and seven winter seasons (5-6 months each year) on the last set.
I've never bothered with snow tires, and I'm in Canada. Then again, I generally drive only a couple of times a week on average, and I usually get to choose the driving conditions.
