1999 Grand Marquis
Most of my driving is on roads with 40-45 mph speed limits. The overdrive cuts in and out too frequently as I slow and speed up around these speeds. Very annoying. I know that I can lockout the overdrive from engaging via the switch on the shift lever. However it resets every time the engine is turned off and I might forget to turn it back on when entering a higher speed limit area.
Questions:
1. Is there any way to up the overdrive shift point to around 55 to 60 mph? That would be best for my driving situation.
2. Is there any way to setup the overdrive lockout to work in reverse (only use overdrive if I allow by a switch).
Any suggestions would be appreciated....
