Idler arm bushing kit???

    Idler arm bushing kit???

    So my 92 front end is all tight but the idler arm appears to be missing a rubber bushing on the lower side where it connects to the centerlink. It leaves a gap that the stud is visible and it looks like it hits or rubs on the centerlink once in awhile which would explain the intermittant metal on metal rattle in the front end.
    I went to order a idler arm and was told a price of a little over $100 but they said they have a bushing kit for $16. Does anyone know if this bushing kit will fix this issue?
    They didnt have an exploded view of the bushing kit so im not sure whats included.

    Ok I found more info on the idler arm bushing online. Its definately the piece that appears damaged on mine. How difficult is it to actually replace that bushing as far as getting the old one out of the arm and the new one in without destroying it?
    Also they list them for oem arm only. How do I confirm if the arm in mine is still oem?

      just replace the idler arm, screw that changing the bushing mess

      1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

        Thats kind of the way im leaning too. I found a cheaper replacement through Napa @$48.

          rock auto has an ac delco idler arm for 17 bucks or a cheapie for 11.......dunno what they get to ship to canadia tho, theres a 5% discount code for rock auto here on the forum in the online vendors section.
