Hey sniper, when you pull the fuse power is cut off to your abs and traction control. It doesnt hurt anything, but you won't have abs or traction control. Your abs light will be on also until you put the fuse back in.
woah! tcs is for a moving vehicle not a stuck in the snow vehicle. spinn the tires=more tq to get you free. most manuals for F/L/M and mazda say never use tcs to free a stuck vehicle. As long as I swap out to snow tires I don't have issues of being stuck in the snow or climbing snow covered hills.
My mother has traction control in her car. Sure, it's not a panther, it's a Mustang v6 auto.
I almost died the first time I drove it in the rain because of the traction control. I am so used to driving a stripped down model pickup truck that I enjoy getting it sideways a bit and holding it. Well, I got sideways a tad in the Mustang, countersteered, and almost put it in oncoming because I lifted slightly and countersteered. Well, with the Traction control, it started behaving like a FWD vehicle (which i loathe), taking me the direction of the front wheels instead of overpowering and sliding like it should.
When I'm in a slide, *I* dictate what happens in the vehicle, not the vehicle dictating.
That's just my opinion, I could be insane.

For those that have the traction control button in the glove box, I recommend installing a $2 SPST switch. It will keep TC off unless you flip the switch.

I did something similar, only I relocated the switch to my radio area. Sorry, no pics; but all I did was drill a small hole in my aftermarket radio install kit's empty plastic cover. It looked pretty stock, too.
The only car Ive owned with ABS was my nissan and I ripped out most of the system one night after work when I pulled into the gas station and my car stopped about 20 feet after it should have, ABS module making all kinds of noise. I pulled the light in the cluster after a few days too.
So im not the quickest on here but you pull the fuse for ABS and TC and you loose your ABS and TC but what the hell is ABS I know it has something to do with your brakes and stopping but for doing burn outs is it not better?
