First off I know everyone has there own reasons for their response, but being new to Panthers I'd like to get some of the pro's and con's and throw out a possibility I have at my disposal.
My reasons for asking are that my GM is a 92, I havent checked if its early or late yet but knowing my luck I got a bastard block.
I noticed today that when revved up a bit it puffs blue, not sure if its valve seals or rings yet but if its a bastard block I think i'd rather do a swap than fix it.
Heres my questions,
5.0L HO swap.... What headers fit, will Fox headers and H-pipe fit?
What mounts fit, do I need to move the trans and what about throttle/TV linkage?
And is there any threads going into detail on the wiring involved?
Not sure if I want to do the 5.0 since my 92 T-bird 5.0HO isnt really that impressive as far as power goes.
351w same questions, and will the same header options fit with the taller deck height?
Now my other option since it would be different and I have a parts car with the powertrain in it with only 150k km's on it is a 90 3.8L s/c from a thunderbird supercoupe with an AOD behind it, I have the ECM and engine harness with it as well.
I think with this option a 5spd swap would be a nice addition, although it would be nice with any option.
If I went with the 3.8s/c what mounts would work and again would I need to relocate the trans?
