OK will the DOHC heads fit the SOHC block? I have a nutty idea about the 4.6. If they can the the 5.0 "Cammer" may be what I need.

Yes they will bolt to the block, but it will be very expensive and a tough job.
If you try this in a pre-2003 there will be clearance issues because of the huge heads.
I would rather buy a DOHC motor and swap it in, but I'm lazy.
If you do swap the heads then you would become
