Single to dual exhaust conversion

Maybe better to write here than create a new topic.

My GM 09 has single exhaust system. Is it stainless steel ? If I found on junkyard h-pipe and left side from Interceptor, can I use my factory right side to connect it ? Or should I buy all exhaust system from H-pie to the end from Interceptor ? If I use only factory parts I should receive few more HP, but do I lose MPG ?

Any ‘03+ CVPI system should bolt up to your remaining system. When I did the ‘97, I used a ‘95 CVPI H-Pipe and driver’s side muffler and tailpipe. The passenger side muffler and tailpipe attached to the H-Pipe like factory.

The bump in power was nice, and most members notice a 1-2 MPG increase after their dual swap.

Use 03+ parts from a CVPI or a dual exhaust Marquis or Vic. The town car will be a few inches too long

One more question - if I would like to instal tailpipes a'la Marauder, are any on market to buy ?

I know there used to be, but I don’t know if anyone still sells them. I know a lot of guys use Impala SS exhaust tips instead. A 2.25” exhaust probably would have to be a custom fabrication if you mean the whole catback though.

use the Impala SS tails and cut them down to make room for the right size chrome tips. I don't remember the size of the tips... something like 18 inch long 2.5 inlet and 3 inch outlet... maybe 3.5 outlet. Someone on here with a 'rauder should know the size of the tips.
