Had a cooling issue, found the intake manifold was bad at the thermostat housing area. Changed the intake, took it out for a test drive and put roughly 45 miles on it. No overheating so figured I was good. Then about 100 yards from the driveway I lose all power. Engine still running at idle, but no response from the gas pedal. Coasted into the driveway, shut it off. Re started it and it seemed fine, but I only drove it 100 yards or so down the driveway to the garage. Going to clean the maf sensor first, but any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check the throttle body linkages and make sure they didn't come loose. If not, check the accelerator pedal and make sure the cable didn't come loose from it either. I've had that issue with a few GM cars and trucks over the years. And messing with changing the intake could have loosened up something that then fell off for some random reason.

On what year? 05+ is drive by wire, so a faulty pedal position sensor can do this too. Last time I had a MAF go shitty the engine wouldn't rev but it also idled badly.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
