The heat ranges are different for the Flex/Non-Flex fuel engines.
I’d recommend using the correct plug for your engine to keep things working as designed.

The flex engine uses one heat range colder than regular 4.6's. If you NEVER plan on running E85 (or some other gas with a higher than normal composition of ethanol) you can run the plugs speced for the regular 4.6. I run NGK TR55GP's in my flex.
