Monroe Sense-a-tracks are the softest I know of. They are a little bouncy though. They feel like dead stock shocks. The 2 I already listed are just as soft without the bounce.

Check on RockAuto.com for the part number. Much better search and maybe better prices.

kinda sounds like you just have shitty roads. may be a seized shock but if you can push down on all 4 corners and they move freely, thats likely not it.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

yeah... different tires will make a HUGE difference in road noise.

When I swapped my front shocks I found out that one of them was shot (would fully compress by its own weight) and the other was completely seized. All four corners seemed to move just fine with bounce tests. So, he might have the same problem.
If the car starts to drift in one direction when you let go of the steering wheel, that's one sign.Last edited by ootdega; 05-13-2015, 05:54 AM.89 Grand Marquis GS.
Putting it here because I keep forgetting to mention it. It's not very exciting at the moment.

Yes. Something breaks loose that caused it to seize and it'll function for a time, but it's a good time to save up for new shocks.

Wouldn't the car be a lot more bouncy then? Almost uncontrollably bouncy?
