heater hose not long enough, wtf?!?!?

I am in the process of connecting the hoses from the heating core to the engine and the hose that goes from the core to the under manifold pipe doesn't seem long enough as it looks like it is strained and pulls to the right, upon comparing what i bought at NAPA to the old one, the old one looks longer.

Unfortunately, this is the only hose they have. Anyone else run into this.

I don't feel like going to the dealership, but it looks like I have to WTF?!?!?

never had that issue... always had to trim some since the replacement was longer than the original. Highly annoying though.

I have had that experience. Get on the Rock auto site. See if there are other hoses available for your application. Compare the measurements from your old hose to what Rock Auto has. Get the vendor and number then shop local if you can't wait. Napa has been selling crap for awhile. I had an account and closed it. Got fed up with incorrect high priced crappy parts.

I agree with Tom. Check out RockAuto to at least make sure they didn't give you the wrong hose. If it is one of the ones listed, there might be one that's a better fit. I'm sure that hose is spec'd to fit a whole array of different vehicles.

If that Napa hose doesn't look like it will fit, I wouldn't make it and would just return it.

Use measuring tape. Go from the core to where it connects to the engine. Then go to auto zone. They sell it by the foot.
