    Swapping parts

Hi I found a 92MGM for sale in Wisconsin for cheap. I was thinking of swapping out parts but can you swap out the door of a car with a keypad and have it work? My car does not have a keypad. Thanks -Trevor

The module for the keypad is actually in the driver door. That's where the five-digit code for entry is.
I don't know how to make that keyless entry system work. You'll probably have to run some type of relay to power the module. Then it has to connect to the other doors as well. But you should be able to do that fro mthe driver's door already if it has power locks.
Other electrical-savvy mangs should chime in.

I think it runs off the power lock/windows that's hot at all times. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Check the harnesses that come into the door on both vehicles and see if they match. If so... I would bet just swapping the door (or the guts) would work.
