    Water in my Muffler??

Hey whats up, I have a question and i am not sure where it need to go but here it goes. I have a 97 mgm 4.6 V8 and it has 225,000 miles and still going strong. but lately when the can is in park i noticed that the engine itself shake every now and then, also when i rev it up i have been told that the muffler spits out a little bit of water. is that normal? And when i am at a stop light and then press the gas my merc will shake a little as it picks up speed and the check light will then start to flash for a while and stay on. does anyone know what might be the problem i love my car me and her have been go hell and back. help me please!!!!!

probably needs a tune up. How old are the plugs, wires, and fuel filter?

the moisture in the exhaust is normal with a cold engine.

the flashing CEL is a misfire, probably time for a tuneup, most likely wires are the cause, dirty injectors are also suspect

a flashing CEL is a current misfire, yes this can damage the cat, but thats not what is causing it to flash

GrandMerc97 if I was a betting man, I would say your plug wires are the root cause; dirty injectors are also a possibilty, but the wires being old is alot more probable

I took my 94 Vic to the Ford dealer for a CEL and it was around $50 for the diagnoses.
