I don't think there is really a need for it, especially if everything else is stock. Im pretty sure that most of the HO swappers on here don't run high flow either."Shakedown"- 1991 Grand Marquis GS Dual exhaust, Magnaflow xl turbos, Rear anti sway bar, Outlaw 1 wheels, 43k miles

You could (if you wanted) go with a Meizire electric pump. There really is no need to have one on our cars unless your pushing 400+ to the ground.
An easier way to get 10 horses would be underdrive pulleys.

Yeah, on a 4.6 I don't think there's much of a need for a water pump that flows anymore than stock...unless you plan on setting up forced induction and/or nitrous.
The underdrive set is probably the best way to boost power as far as accessory belt system goes. And even with that the water pump will still flow enough coolant. And I dont think there is much variation in % available in either the 5.0 or 4.6...
And as for the GT40 heads go. I'd have to assume that the pistons would interfere with the valves being that they're flattops, but I dont know for sure.1998 Mercury Grand Marquis 131k~ true duals, 2nd cat removed, H-pipe, Xcelerator Turbo mufflers, PI Manifold, 180* Tstat, K&N drop-in.

GT40 heads are for the 5.0 motors.
I took the pump fan off my car and snagged a 18" Lincoln MKVIII fan from the junkyard and wired that in. I could tell a difference in the throttle response.08 Lincoln Navigator L - 233k

Can you just drop in the fan from a later aero? Some had both a clutch and an electric fan. Whales have massive fans, but they may be too thick to fit in an aero.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
