**The Tank Won't Start!!!!**

It turns over but will NOT start
i have:
- new fuel filter
- new fuel pump
- new coil
- new crankshaft sensor
ALL INSTALLED
i checked the fuses and relays and they all checked out.
i need help. im gonna put new plugs and wires in it.
any other suggestions??

yup. both of them are.

everything is good. i jacked the car back up, cleaned the contacts on the connection on the fuel tank. and then i finally got the fuel pump to whirr. and the Tank came roaring back to life.
God, im leaving for California in 18 days. i dont need this shit. it stresses me.

***TANK STILL WON"T START***

huge problem. i need input.

-new fuel pump
-new fuel filter
- 1 new coil pack

i turn the key to "ON" and there is NO whirr from the fuel pump.

-all the fuses and relays are good

I jumped the fuel pump relay. And it whirred. That indicated that the wiring from the relay to the pump is good. the terminal block is still good. Whatever controls the fuel pump relay is bad. either the PCM relay ,the PCM, or the Diode. is bad.

the PCM relay is good.

while i had the jumper in the fuel pump relay, i tried to start the car to no avail. Nothing.

HELP ME.

i checked at the coils. no signal is getting to the coil.
and the fuel pump wont turn on.
is the EDIS toast?

my dads bringing over his voltmeter today. i fried mine a few weeks ago. theres a few checks i have to do on the EDIS (electronic distributor-less ignition system) that will tell me if the PCM is bad or the EDIS is bad.

im going with scott on this one. the schematics say the when the key is turned on, the PCM relay then sends power to the PCM which in turn goes the the Fuel pump relay and turns the pump on.
i gotst to fix this soon mangs.

the edis is not getting power.
how can i check to see if power is getting to the PCM relay?

hokay, so.....

the PCM relay was getting power. the test light proved that. i put 5 different FUNCTIONAL relays in there, and none of them worked. I used the same jumper wire i made for the fuel pump relay.
i put the jumper in the PCM relay and..... the fuel pump relay kicked the fuel pump on.

so, i think im on to something here....

i leave the jumper in the PCM relay, and decide, im gonna try and start the car. at this point, fuck it.
it starts. and runs. and is awesome.

sweet! but now, every time i have to start my car, i have to pop the hood and plug in this jumper. and every time i turn it off, i have to unplug this jumper.
not any longer, my friends....

i put a switch in the cab that acts as the jumper. i pull swtich. turn car on. no getting out necessary. and if i hit it while the car is running, it kills it. KILL SWITCH!!!
i also put a LED off the switch because if i forget to turn it off, the car would be dead quickly.

Ill post pics tomorrow when it gets light out and stuff.
