    1990 Lincoln TownCar EVO Solenoid

Looking for 1 year only part from 1990 Lincoln TownCar. Threads on the side of the power steering pump
FOVY-3783-A is the part number. Need it for my 5.0 swapped 92 Grand Marquis.

I took a long look, last week, and only found a few entries that said it was discontinued. Couldn't find a "live" one anywhere! One must be sitting on someone's shelf but who knows where???

The problem is, they want oodles of money for it, even if you can get it. I can get it way cheaper than that, if I buy a remanned power steering pump. However, I really don't want to. So someone who can find one/has one I'd be willing to give money for before buying a pump I won't be using (pump on the car is brand new).

I guess if it is not an emergency, you can continuing looking. I agree buying the pump when not needed is not your first option but you'll have to weigh the price of the pump and part vs. just the part, if it can be found. The choices may be limited!

This I know. However, I can use the pump for something else, if I need one...

Anyone make an aftermarket version? I couldn't find it but perhaps you can.

I may be able to find one at the JY. There was a 90 TC there, but I can't guarantee it will still be there next time I can get out there. I don't actually know when the next time I can get out there will be but I do have some stuff I want to get for another project so hopefully sometime in the next 4 weeks (probably not this weekend or the next, but we'll see).

Since I am not at all familiar with this part, do you have a picture of it installed? Is there any way to test it?

Its the electrical dingus screwed into the power steering pump.

Not sure what the proper reading is, but you can test it with an ohm meter.

Ok, if someone has what the resistance values should be across which pins I can test at the yard to make sure the values are within range.

This car has been at the yard since at least December and I'm not sure what the turnover rate is in this yard but I think it may be on the order of months.
