I'll keep a look out at the local junkyards, they are getting hard to find. 98% sure Box sway bars are specifically for boxes, i know the aero rear bar is different, fairly certain the front is as well.

Oh! And post this box up in the readers rides!

92-02 front will fit fine if you do the big brake swap or even just swap to 92+ knuckles.

          Rear is box specific though.

Looks like I'm going to need box ones.. Big brakes aren't in the near future. Only Aero rear end.

Don't forget the CVPI trailing arms for that rear sway bar.

Do you need to go that route if you stay with the civi rear sway bar? And if not, is it even worth it?

I was wanting to drive the car for awhile before putting in the aero rear and I'd like it to be handling well. I could also just not put any sway bars in and wait until big brakes and just use a aero front sway bar, like Zach said. But who knows when I'll actually do the entire job.

Can always sell swaybars to another GMN member when I'm done with them, that is.

You don't need the PI rear controls arm for the PI rear bar. The PI rear bar will bolt to the factory control arms just fine.

the civilian rear bar is still a huge improvement over none. i have not seen a pi box in like 6 yrs.

addco makes a bar for the box panther, dmccaig has one on his wagon.

i know i have one somewhere around here but it is my spare and it wont be cheap lol. pm wagonman see if he has one, he's up there in ct not far from u either.

Appreciated Scott, I'll look into that. I was wondering if the stock front sway bar was relatively sturdy enough to just put poly bushings on to stiffen it up?

Wagons had swaybars too! The rear one is wimpy-er than police box swaybars iirc, but the front wagon one is hollow (weight savings vs PI front, thicker diameter, but same performance IIRC)

wagons dont usually have one in the back though. They do offer a nice front bar though. The rear box bar is just sort of a rare thing. It was not standard, so you have to luck into either a police car or a civi car that had whatever the handling package was. It wasn't the tow package either, at least not on the towncar. Mine did not have one.
