There was a recall for 05s but not the 06s. I just had the full steering shaft recall done and now I'm stuck with this so.. I'm trying to see if anyone has one from a past junkyard run or something laying around, y'know.
You can replace the relays in the ECM with heavy duty units and never have another problem. If you are interested check crownvic.net or mercurymarauder.net

+1 on rebuilding it with external relays. A used LCM is likely to fail in the same way yours has already. External relays will make it out-last the rest of the car. Google for Ford LCM relay and you'll find various information on how to do it.

I was thinking about that but I didn't see (In my brief search about it) much on the matter. I'll probably plan on doing that since I'm a cheap bastard and will not buy a new one.
