The doors I have on my tudor GM are near rust free. I would like to get some of the same WITHOUT the window vents.

One of my customers has a tudor that didn't have the vent windows and the glass would jump around a bind. One day he slammed the door and the glass exploded. The only glass I could find was from a tudor WITH vent windows, so I put the set-up in. He loved it so much, he had me do the other door! The vent window track keeps the glass from moving around. I would keep the set-up you have. Just my two-cents! WagonMan89 Colony Park

Having examined the possibility of adding vent windows to my '91...and having them already in my '83...
It should be possible to convert the doors you already have, save for the early model year mirrors if that's one of your goals. I haven't spent a lot of time looking at the vent window mechanisms but it's independent of the main window regulator as long as it's not a Lincoln with the power roll-down ones. You'd need glass, new weatherstripping/window channels and possibly but not certainly the window regulators in whole which would be a major pain to swap out, but I'm not convinced it would have to be done. The beam that separates the two panes of glass is bolted in place.
While that may sound challenging, your chances of finding good glass and regulator mechanisms are much better than your chances of finding good doors.

If possible just find some glass. Everything will swap right over. Your weatherstripping will even work!
EDIT: You will ALSO have to purchase new dew wipe material.Last edited by 87gtVIC; 06-20-2014, 03:16 PM.~David~

my car starts and it has AC. Yours doesn't start and it has no AC. Seems obvious to me.
