Most US I6 engines suffer badly from breathing problems. Those 1bbl carbs and lousy intake and exhaust manifolds don't flow air and the fuel distribution is really bad. EFI, 4bbl, or multiple 2bbl carbs and a header really wakes them up.

I'd love to get my hands on one of those Barra I6 engines from an Aussie Falcon. Those actually breathe. One of those in something like a Mercury Monarch would be a hoot.

I don't know that I'd ever modify a six beyond stock. Figure that money would be better spent on a V8. Depends on the price, I guess. Although I hate carburetors on everything short of yard equipment type stuff.

            yep, that will do.

quick watching this "fuel injection sucks" channel, they're talking about trying to go to the track and its having fuel boiling and vapor lock problems that simply wouldn't exist with EFI. Yep, EFI sure is terrible.

and yeah the same money dumped into a V8 is going to make more power but everyone has done that already.

I like the National Lampoons movie series as much as the average American. But I really wish people would stop making replicas. The car was designed to be as ugly as possible. It poked fun at station wagons in the era of the beginnings of the minivan and SUV take over. I am tired of seeing them and would rather see the real wagon underneath.

Lmao! That engine bay has seen some shit lol. Those tail light stickers on the tailgate are just bad... at least go with a set of real ones like they did on the movie car!

Bummer they didnt do the iconic front end double stacked headlight bezels. I guess its something they couldn't replicate with stickers.

kishy I found a vehicle that you may enjoy. It's a Ranger. It's a Lincoln Mark VI. At the same time.

I'm impressed with the details on this. It took a heck of a lot of work to make this thing.

LOL. Yeah I can appreciate good work, even if I don't like the end result.
