Note it's located in AZ but not a Southern car - IL title. Body and interior look stupid clean. Described as "mechanical" damage. Could be a sweet deal for the right person. I'd kill for that whole hood/header/bumper set, for my own uses.
Never done it myself. My buddy who is formerly from Detroit but now lives in Phoenix has used it and bought a car from there once...so I see him share links to cars periodically. All I know is it works. I think there are auction-related fees you have to pick up.
Logistics of bringing it all the way up here don't make any sense but it's probably going to go cheap.

As it's a 302 and has almost 100K on it, I bet the timing gear broke and the engine lunched itself. Looks like a good roller for a drivetrain swap though.

Is the 302 not a non-interference engine? Even if that happened (and I'll agree it likely did), should be salvageable if you clear out the nylon junk in the pan and pop a new $20 double row timing set on it.
That's a super early build '79 with that production date of October 1978.

I saw that one on there last week and looked up that axle code as well. I've driven cars with 2.3ish gears before. The automatic is actually pretty good because the gears are LONG! Just put it in 2 and you dont have to change 90% of the time.

I think the e6 heads are non interference but the previous heads were interference. Though don't bet on it. I'm not that up to speed on which heads with stock setups don't lunch the valves.
The seat belts came in black unless your ordered them extra cost, color coded to the interior. A junkyard will get it for really cheap if no one else gets it. I used to buy them for as little as $15 plus fees from Copart. Scrap prices were the same right now as they were then. Copart is very strict on getting the vehicles out of their lot within the allowed time period.
I like it but I think most of you know I prefer a well opted car to a base model, unless I'm going to use it as a spare. I need no spares at this time, in fact, I should probably sell some shit.
