The guy I know would want to do an EFI swap anyway. Throw his '89 engine in there, and his '89 AOD while we're at it... problem solved (the harder way).
If things work out and I end up buying a house with a garage next year he might even have a place where he can work on it, and that would make it easier for me to help him.
