    351 EFI Solution

This adapter allows you to use a 351 lower from a truck, and bolt on a regular HO intake. Looks like it would raise it another inch or so. Seems like a cheap option for anyone wishing to go to fuel injection with their 351.

Thanks for sharing. If it were an adapter for a gt40/explorer/cobra or even a aftermarket trickflow/holley systemax/edelbrock then it would be worth buying if you can't find yourself a 351 lower. I can't see it being worth it for a Mustang H.O. upper intake because you might as well take the $112+ and put it towards something with a better end result. H.O. intake is not going to feed a 351.

hood height is another problem. I suspect it might not work on a Ford. Might fit a Lincoln though, the hoods are taller in the middle on those.

I think it would do fine on an early stock 351, they made less power than the HO engines, a ported upper would helps things a bit... I thought about the hood height, that spacer adds what appears to be 1-2", so would have to measure it, i don't know if the truck lowers are higher or not.

Don't the truck intakes flow like ass though? Plus a stock HO upper isn't that great either.

As for hood height, you can run a 1" intake spacer no problem on Explorer intakes, though I don't know how tall a stock truck lower is.

the 351 itself is about an inch taller than a 302, so another inch on top of that might be a problem. If you can stack a pair of 1" spacers on a 302 and have clearance, then this would probably work.

and yes and yes about both intakes being not amazing. Would be better off with an Edelbrock or something else aftermarket that just bolts straight on to a 351 to feed anything of substance. The truck/HO combo is probably fine for a stock P72 motor, but there wouldn't really be a lot of point in converting a VV P72 to EFI and not making it produce more power. A 2150 will probably get you about all those have to give in a practical sense.
