    Used Dual Exhaust for $75

I need an entirely new exhaust system as I have nothing but the y pipe and 2 stinky catalytic converters. I want dual exhaust but was planning on getting a single exhaust to save money. What do you guys think, is this a reasonable alternative for someone on a budget? It's also an hour drive away so I'd appreciate any input before I take a gamble on heading up there. Thanks.

$75 seems like a good price. Can you get any close up shoots from the seller? I can see some rust, but hard to see how deep it is or if it’s just surface rust.

That's not a bad price at all so longs there's no holes or severe rust. I've seen used h pipes alone for more

I don't know, I sent him an email asking for more pics and haven't heard back yet I'm about to call right now and I'll make sure to ask if it's complete or if it's been cut.

              ...

Ok I just called and he said that he doesn't have any more pics which either means he's hiding something or he just doesn't give enough of a fuck to go through the effort of taking more pics and uploading them, I'm guessing the latter. He said it's complete, he said it wasn't cut, he said the rust is only on the surface... if I drive an hour away and put unnecessary miles on my car just to find out he was lying I'll be pissed, PISSED I SAY! BUT if it works out I'll be able to knock a good hundred and fifty or so off my total expected future repair costs! BOOYAH!

I'll sleep on it and if I feel right about it tomorrow I'll head on out and let yall know what I find.

good luck. from the pics, it looks like flanges all the way and some surface rust around the bends. that's easy enough to clean up and coat with some high temp paint before install to make it last even longer.

Yes it is only the h pipe to manifold flages that I could not see. If it is cut between the mufflers and tail no big deal.

                      The mission was a success!

The guy was pretty cool, he had a 91gmq and the engine blew on him so he let it sit for a while hoping he'd get around to putting a new engine in and eventually he decided to part it out. Too bad there's one less panther on the road, but... I'VE GOT DUAL EXHAUST NOW!

Unfortunately they'll probably just sit there until I por-15 my undercarriage and decide whether I should get new catalytic converters or just settle for the ones I've got... I dunno. But what I do know is that between my Cincinnati trip and this one my windshield has become a bug cemetery. Some good spring cleaning is most certainly in order.

Man I can't wait to paint it and have it installed! Pictures and videos will be taken.

                      PEACE!
